How to Apply for a Credit Card:
At the store or bank:
- If you’ve decided to apply at the store or at the bank you will take these steps.
- First go to the place you’re looking to apply for their credit card.
- Then ask a clerk if you can get a credit card application.
- They will then give it to you. Now, fill out all of the information they ask for.
- Once your application is completely filled out with honest information hand it back to the clerk.
- They will then be able to tell you whether or not you got accepted for their credit card.
- If you got accepted, you will get a credit card in the mail with your name on it very shortly.
- If you didn’t get accepted, ask them why. It will most likely be because of your credit score.
Online:
- If you’re looking to apply for a credit card online, simply type in the search engine which kind of credit card you’re looking for. For example, “student credit cards”, “business credit cards”, “gas credit cards”, “low interest credit cards”. There is a credit card out there for everything!
- Once you’ve typed in the search engine what you’re looking for, there should be a list you can choose from.
- Find one that looks like it relates to you the most.
- Now go over all the information about the credit card. Make sure you understand the credit limit, interest rate, fees, etc.
- Now apply for the credit card.
- You will then find out if you get accepted most likely by an e-mail.
- If you got accepted wait for your card to come in the mail.
